Alicia Keys has postponed her forthcoming album until October, and now has tentatively set a date for release. She wowed a worldwide audience this past weekend at Live Earth, and you can watch her performance of new material from the new album! According to Billboard, the lovely lady has “penciled in” the date of October 23rd for her third J records release. Linda Perry (songwriter) has contributed three songs, one of which Keys performed during her Live Earth appearance this weekend, titled “The Thing About Love.” Let’s hope and assume that Linda Perry has never written a song for Avril and these contributions will not be claimed by someone else after the album comes out….
Billboard also mentions that “Mark Batson, Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Harold Lilly Jr. Guests include John Mayer and Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius” will also be contributors on the album, while Mr. Frost includes “Timbaland, John Mayer, & John Legend” in that list. I can’t wait to hear it! As far as I have heard, Alicia Keys can do no wrong!
Here are some excellent videos from her Live Earth performance:
