Another Growth Spurt For HearingTest

September 28th, 2007

HearingTest is still very young as far as websites go (the first post was in March 2007). It started off as a blog and side project to what I do professionally and my dream is to develop HT into a full blown glossy online magazine. I’m starting to realize, slowly, as the year progresses that what I am currently doing with the website is fine if I want to be a breaking news site, but still a long way from magazine style. So, this weekend, I am going to start making a few changes that will bring it more inline with the magazine idea.

What this will mean for you, the readers, is you will get better content and it will be easier to navigate. The feature articles will be full of all the info you need in one place instead of bits and pieces popping up everyday. Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience while we figure out what we’re doing. But, the ultimate goal is to make this the best website for music info, so hopefully this is in the best interest of everyone. Feel free to use the comments here to let me know what you would like to see more of, less of, etc. One of the things I am most excited to see happen is spending less of my energy just trying to keep up with all the news and spending more time interviewing musicians, and researching really interesting articles. I suppose I’m bored of rehashing press releases and I want to spend more time being involved in the music community and getting fresh stories. So, in my mind, that means more interviews, more concert reviews, more creative writing and hopefully more involvement of other writers.

Thanks for being a HearingTest reader! Feel free anytime to be a HT commenter!
Have a fabulous weekend!
