Beenie Man’s new video for “Back It Up” is heating up dancehall circles right now. I like the song a lot, but I don’t know what to make of the vid. All the dancers look bored. Even Beenie Man seems less charged than usual. Let me know what you think:

Maybe it’s all the hot stuff because of the headlines following Beenie’s every move this month. He’s back to his old dog ways, and it looks like he and his lovely wife D’Angel have split.
Also in the news, Beenie Man has supposedly signed the Reggae Compassion Act recently, along with Buju, Capleton and Sizzla. I will be looking into this story further over the weekend, it seems there is some controversy about whether the artists actually signed or not. Buju’s manager alluded that he was not aware of this taking place, so…
I like this song better than Kat DeLuna and Elephant Man’s “Whine Up” but I like their video better. Maybe someone should switch the 2 audios.
