HearingTest has enjoyed a very productive weekend!! We have a new Front Page with a little bit of featured content, a space for event flyers, and a layout that makes it easy to see everything new in the Music News and Culture categories all at once. Now that the Front Page is sorted out, we put all the new posts on the News page where they belong. As always, we have the individual channels for those of you that prefer to surf the music by genre. But now you can also subscribe to each channel individually too! You can mix and match to get all the content you want and none that you don’t. Check out the Subscribe page for all the Feed details. But wait, it gets oh so much better…
One of the best new features that we implemented over the weekend is the MOBILE option that you see in the navigation bar at the top of each page. You can use that link to read HearingTest on your mobile phone! I’m pretty excited about that feature. I tried it out on my phone and I love it - let me know how it looks on yours! It’s totally free. There is a little text ad at the top, but it’s tiny. It basically just reads the same as it would in a feed reader. Pure content, none of the extra stuff. If you have an RSS feed for your website or blog, you can have your content published for mobile phones too! And, it’s totally free for you too. Just jump over to FeedM8 and sign up FREE!
You can find this link anytime you need it, near the bottom of the left sidebar, under Good Web People.
And I saved the best for last - HearingTest is now an official participant in the Blog Action Day campaign. The idea is for as many web publishers as possible to post about the environment - in solidarity, on the same day. Since we regularly post about environmental issues, we figured why not do it as part of a global movement? We live-blogged the Live Earth event which was a blast, so this should be fun too… The magic day of Blog Action will be Monday October 15th. Maybe we can extend the online solidarity all week and have another big action day on October 22nd - the day for Stop Police Brutality, Repression, and the Criminalization of a Generation. Regardless, if you want more info on the October 15th Blog Action Day, peruse the official website:

This banner is also in the left sidebar of most HT pages.
Ok, now you are up to speed on the new features. There are actually a few more super cool surprises on HearingTest, but I’m gonna stand back and let you explore the site at your leisure. Some surprises are more fun to discover!
Have Fun! Enjoy!
And as always, Thanks For Reading HT!!
