I have a little cat to let out of the bag – for those in the London area who love a smashing good live performance. The legendary DJ Kentaro, DMC Champion, will be playing a secret show at Cargo Tuesday night! Yes, it’s a bit last minute, but that’s the thing with secret shows. Besides, Londoners used to be quite skilled at finding secret shows no matter what, so this should be easy. If haven’t heard of DJ Kentaro yet, you should listen up – he’s AMAZING! He is a young DJ from Japan, he won the DMC World Championships at age 20 in 2002. Scope this vid for starters:

Ninja Tune was pretty blown away by performances like this and signed them to their label. He compiled an album of Ninja Tune archives, called Solid Steel Present DJ Kentaro: On The Wheels Of Solid Steel, and recently released his debut solo album with them, called Enter.
