We received great news from Dplanet – not only did he hit the studio with Konfab over the weekend, but he also threw together a lo-fi video with Ben Sharpa for the remixed version of Sharpa’s “Into The Black.” The album by Konfab will be called Swart Gevaar and it will be released either late this year or early next.
Dplanet says the video for the remix was shot on his roof in Cape Town, with a Canon Ixus 65 straight into iMovie, and 15 minutes later he was ready to upload it to youTube. Sure, it’s lo-fi, but how often do you get personal visuals with an mp3 stream? I love it, check it out yourself:

The album that Konfab and Dplanet were working on over the weekend is a new one for Konfab: Swart Gevaar. One of the songs on the album – “Solar Eclipse” – features a beat by DJ Raiko. Looking forward to when some of the audio is revealed!
Meanwhile, Dplanet has been mad mad busy! He just launched his new album Planetary Assault with a party last week, he’s been doing interviews, radio spots, marketing and even MOGGING! I can see how it might be a relief to get back in the studio for some production work…
