Foo Fighters Practice Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace

July 16th, 2007

The Foo Fighters celebrate 10 years together as a band, but they are not resting on their laurels. Instead, they have been in the studio, building their sixth studio album. The album is titled Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace and will be released on September 25th via RCA. An interesting thing about this album - it’s only the second Foo Fighters album to be produced by Gil Norton. The first was their legendary 1997 release, The Colour And The Shape which people have been talking about this month due to its re-issue this week. The Colour And The Shape is already double platinum and gets reissued this week as a 10th anniversary deluxe edition with 6 bonus tracks. Many Foo Fighters albums have reached the platinum level, but I guess they wanted to recapture the magic of that early album with Gil Norton, thus working with him again on the newest endeavor. The tracks on the album have not been arranged yet, but we know which songs will be included:

Tracks Included On Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace

The Pretender
Let It Die
Erase/Replace
Long Road To Ruin
Come Alive
Stranger Things Have Happened
Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make-Up Is Running)
Summers End
Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners
Statues
But, Honestly
Home

Wow, even a song about guyliner! The Foo Fighters played to a die-hard crowd at the Live Earth London concert on 7/7/07 and will continue playing shows around the UK Isles next month.
