Horray! Integrity scored another point in the Rock N Roll Battle For Your Soul, while David Beckham struck out. Well, David Beckham is probably used to striking out by now, but in the interest of credibility? That might be a new one for ol’ Golden Balls.

David B asked the Fratellis to cover the classic Beatles hit “Hello Goodbye” so that he could make it his official song for his first match as part of the L.A. Galaxy team. The match takes place in July, but it won’t feature a Fratellis song. Jon Fratelli claims, “We were like, ‘No f**king way.’ It would have got us noticed, of course, but we’d have lost our self-respect.”
WOOT! Go Jon! He is a brilliant orator (as so many Scots are), and went on to comment in his lovely Scottish lilt, “We’re not a bunch of travelling salesmen. If we don’t get successful on our own terms then we won’t do it at all.”
Brilliant! I think these fellas just moved to the top of my fave bands list. It’s not often that you hear about what musicians have turned down. I’m glad these guys are bragging about it.
