The bear in Kanye’s new video reminds me of Mori Chack’s Gloomy Bear. Except this bear doesn’t end up slashing anyone with his razor sharp claws. And from the looks of things, it wasn’t easy! Maybe it’s because this bear was created by Takashi Murakami, who looks like he wouldn’t hurt anyone. Unless they didn’t like this video.
Welcome To The Takashi Dynasty
Don’t mind the occasional graininess, I think the video was pirated at its premier screening in Japan… (I don’t think it’s been released anywhere else yet.)
Poor little bear!
“Good Morning” samples from Jay Z’s “The Ruler’s Back” as well as Elton John’s “Someone Saved My Life Tonight.” But it’s this video featuring the artwork of Takashi Murakami come to life that really flaunts Kanye’s taste.
Kanye is a fearless taste flaunter. Check out the pic he posted of a futuristic-looking bottle of Hennessy:

It’s Hennessy Ellipse Cognac and it sells for £3350 at Harrod’s. Scope what else Kanye is into on his website; it’s a colorful world Mr. West lives in. My condolences to him during this dark time. Kanye’s mum died in her home last weekend, of heart failure I believe. R.I.P. Dr. Donda West…
