Kat DeLuna and Busta Rhymes - “Run The Show” from 9 Lives:
There’s a lot of anticipation in the air surrounding the new album from the notorious Wu-Tang Clan. To help ease some of the tensions that have been building, Semtex dropped FOUR tunes off 8 Diagrams during his BBC 1Xtra Radio show last Sunday! Semtex brings a hot mix of hip hop tunes to the UK airwaves and the globe’s internet streams on a weekly basis via BBC Radio 1Xtra. Lucky for us, the show is available until Saturday night/Sunday morning when the new show airs and gets archived. The show also features the brand new Snoop Dog tune (with D-oh-dubble-G singing!) “Sensual Seduction,” plus tracks from Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne, new Jay-Z, Kid Sister ft. Kanye West, Chingy, Skepta, Asher D, Ghetto, Trigger and Kano! ([More →])
This track isn’t brand new, but I wanted to post it up anyway because I’m grooving on it again since last week’s “I’m So Hood” remix. This is two of dancehall’s most controversial deejays, Busta Rhymes and Shabba Ranks, with Akon keeping things smooth on “Clear The Air”:
Khaled’s “I’m So Hood” Remix features Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Big Boi, Fat Joe, Birdman and Rick Ross! But it’s Ludacris that’s killin it like a mouth full of guns in the new video! Plus, Lil Wayne is so ill it can’t be captured on film - they had to slow it down like a Bruce Lee movie! Busta Rhymes is boxing ears with his badman tongue twisters while Birdman plays it smooth like N’arlins jazz, riding slow and low. Roll these rudeboys over 808 drum loops and the backdrop of Grand Theft Auto: Atlanta and you’ve got it made! ([More →])
Icewater have just released the brand new video for “Animal” off their upcoming debut album Polluted Water. The song features the young bloods’ revered hip hop mentors: the honorable Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, both teachers from the Wu-Tang School. The School has been relatively quiet since their last Shaolin Showdown under the Iron Flag. The elders have been honing their hip hop skills and teaching them to new brothers who have joined the school in hopes that some day, their kung fu on the mic will be strong and unbeatable. Raekwon feels honored to present Icewater, a group of students who have impressed the Wu-Tang masters and are ready to present their style to the public. The emergence of Icewater from the hidden studios of Staten Island signals a revival of Shaolin Island hip hop. Donnie Cash pays homage to the Wu-Tang School when he says, “Anything coming off of the Island is gonna have that “W” on it. That’s where you get the Wu-Tang. We’re also the youth, the streets, the hood. Just like Dipset is in Harlem, we’ve got the movement of the island behind us.” ([More →])
A lawsuit has been filed against the hip hop industry that promotes and supports violent rapper personas. Busta Rhymes was issued the lawsuit by a man he allegedly assaulted in NYC last summer. The incident took place in the Chelsea neighborhood after Busta Rhymes performed at the AmsterJam Music Fest on Randall’s Island. ([More →])
Wu-Tang Clan is back in action with the upcoming release of their 8 Diagrams album, their appearance at Rock The Bells in Hawaii and their collaboration with LOUD.com to offer you classic tracks to test your MC skills. But while RZA has been active with side projects, like the Afro-Samurai Soundtrack, fellow band mate Raekwon has been keepin cool with Ice Water. ([More →])
PDiddy debuted a new remix of his song, “Last Night”, on his murdochspace page. This version features Lil’ Kim’s first lyrical recording since she left prison last summer.
Diddy gushed about her, according to VH1 news :
She’s sounding good and strong. I’m a witness. I was in the studio with her. She ain’t miss a beat. She wasn’t rusty or nothing. She stepped it up and was even doing some singing too. Her bounce is classic and it’s necessary. She definitely is the queen of the game.”

Read more about their time spent in the studio, as well as future plans for Diddy’s Bad Boy label, on VH1.com
Check out the new version of “Last Night” on Diddy’s player - it’s the first song in the SNOCAP player, and it features Keyshia Cole and Busta Rhymes as well.
** She’s been real quiet all these years. i can’t WAIT to hear what she’s got to say on the microphone! **
