Today’s theme is tenner anniversaries. Next up is veteran sludge-metal band, ISIS. They’re celebrating their 10th anniversary of creating heavy music together and preparing for a few live shows in the US and one in BC this November. 27, longtime collaborators with ISIS, will open the shows. ISIS and 27 will be joined at different shows by different bands, including Oxbow, Big Business, and These Arms Are Snakes. We’ve got two grand tours by Ipecac artists: The Melvins with Big Business and Otto Von Schirach with The Locust! The Melvins have announced a jam-packed tour of the US from mid-September to mid-October where they will be screening the new DVD they created with hipster cartoon toy designer Dalek - “Purge of Dissidents” at each show! Big Business will be opening the shows, but first The Melvins play one show with Mudhoney in LA (which will also screen the new DVD). If sludge rock isn’t your mug o’music, but weirdness is, you might want to check out the Otto Von Schirach tour with analog afficionado insectoids The Locust that is winding around Europe! Roadburn Festival in Tilburg Holland has added yet another night of music to their already storming lineup! The weekend long festival, previously scheduled for April 20-21, is sold out. This third night, however, will be sold separately!

As if the forthcoming Roadburn Festival isn’t enough sonic overload, Sunn 0))), Bohren und der Club of Gore & Fear Falls Burning will play the Roadburn Festival Afterburner, scheduled for Sunday, April 22nd. Tickets will be sold seperately. Weekend tickets for the sold-out Roadburn Festival do not include entrance for this show.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale starting March 24th and there are only 325 total, so this will definitely sell out. don’t sleep!

I can’t believe the lineup for the other 2 days, it’s like sxsw for dark avant garde metal! Neurosis, OM, Red Sparrowes, Clutch, Growing, Circle, Thrones, Melvins, Amenra, and so many more!!
That’s just one more reason i should be living in Holland.
