New Lil Wayne Video – “A Milli”

July 3rd, 2008

Wow, Weezy really didn’t put much effort into his new video for “A Milli.” The production is so lo-fi compared to the vid for “Lollipop.” Ladies, however, will enjoy watching Wayne Carter strut around with no shirt on and the part where he poses with the super-shorty is adorable.

Static/Major + Lil Wayne – “I Got My” [Audio]

April 22nd, 2008

Lil Wayne helps us remember Static/Major with this “new” song. Hip hop lost a talented son when Static Major died too young in February. Luckily, his memory will remain strong with songs like “I Got My” featuring his good bud Weezy…

“I Got My” is the first single off Static/Major’s debut album Suppertime, which was due to drop in ‘08. I’m not sure what the status of the album is now.

Bun B Is All About The Hood – “That’s Gangsta” Video

April 22nd, 2008

“That’s Gangsta” should have been the theme song for season 5 of The Wire. Bun B’s videos look a bit like The Wire southern style. Here he is with Sean Kingston in the new vid for “That’s Gangsta”:

Lil Wayne Loves Lisa Marie – New Song [Audio]

April 15th, 2008

Lil Wayne serenades hip hop model Lisa Marie in his latest tune, “Lisa Marie.” How do we know it’s about her? Well, amongst other things, both the lady in the tune and the lady in this photo have a butterfly on their upper thigh, so it’s a pretty solid guess:

No word yet on whether this song is intended for Carter III or just to get Weezy laid…

Dizzee Rascal + Bun B Meet The G’s In New Video

March 22nd, 2008

Dizzee Rascal flew from London to Houston to meet up with Bun B and film the video for “Where’s Da G’s?” B gives D a tour of his hood and hooks him up with a sweet deal on a pair of X-Ray G Glasses.

Dizzee Rascal + Bun B “Where’s Da G’s?” Video:

Unfortunately, Pimp C does not appear in the video, but his verses are on the album edit of this song. BIG Big Choon off the US release of Maths + English from Definitive Jux.
“Where’s Da G’s” with Bun B and Pimp C is the best US/UK hip hop crossover recorded so far….

March 22nd, 2008

BBC’s DJ Semtex got Lil Wayne to open up about Carter III during an interview over the weekend. Weezy told Semtex that Kanye is on 3 tracks and that Swizz Beatz, Jim Johnson and Deezle also appear. Wayne also stopped by Tim Westwood’s studio and let the rhymes flow. ([More →])

Lil Wayne Droppin “A Milli” Tunes [Audio]

March 20th, 2008

Lots of Lil Wayne tunes in the player this week – check it out: We’ve been bumpin “Lollipop” for awhile now, and Flo-Rida’s “American Gangsta” featuring Lil Wayne. Now we have a tune called “Millie” though I’m not sure that’s the right title (I’ll look into it today). It’s supposed to be off the upcoming Carter III. I love it, especially because it doesn’t sound like a song. It sounds like Lil Wayne just having a conversation over music. Listen here:

Listen To Wu-Tang 8 Diagrams, New Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown +More

November 21st, 2007

There’s a lot of anticipation in the air surrounding the new album from the notorious Wu-Tang Clan. To help ease some of the tensions that have been building, Semtex dropped FOUR tunes off 8 Diagrams during his BBC 1Xtra Radio show last Sunday! Semtex brings a hot mix of hip hop tunes to the UK airwaves and the globe’s internet streams on a weekly basis via BBC Radio 1Xtra. Lucky for us, the show is available until Saturday night/Sunday morning when the new show airs and gets archived. The show also features the brand new Snoop Dog tune (with D-oh-dubble-G singing!) “Sensual Seduction,” plus tracks from Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne, new Jay-Z, Kid Sister ft. Kanye West, Chingy, Skepta, Asher D, Ghetto, Trigger and Kano! ([More →])

Outkast Tellin Stories For DJ Drama’s Grillz

November 20th, 2007

A new song from Outkast with classic Andre 3000 lyrics! “Da Art of Storytellin Pt 4″ is off of DJ Drama’s long-awaited, long-anticipated Gangsta Grillz album and features Marsha Ambrosius. I wish I could say this is merely a taste of what’s to come from the Outkast kamp, but so far no further word.

My friend Afficionado (who first turned me on to the song) even posted the lyrics to this rhyme: ([More →])

November 20th, 2007

Woop! Woop! It’s the sound of the police! “Hip Hop Police” . This video for “Hip Hop Police” by Chamillionaire actually hit the net a month ago, but I’m on a video spree tonight, so I thought I would throw this one into the mix. ([More →])

Hood Remix Video Or Grand Theft Auto Atlanta?

November 16th, 2007

Khaled’s “I’m So Hood” Remix features Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Big Boi, Fat Joe, Birdman and Rick Ross! But it’s Ludacris that’s killin it like a mouth full of guns in the new video! Plus, Lil Wayne is so ill it can’t be captured on film – they had to slow it down like a Bruce Lee movie! Busta Rhymes is boxing ears with his badman tongue twisters while Birdman plays it smooth like N’arlins jazz, riding slow and low. Roll these rudeboys over 808 drum loops and the backdrop of Grand Theft Auto: Atlanta and you’ve got it made! ([More →])
