There’s a lot of anticipation in the air surrounding the new album from the notorious Wu-Tang Clan. To help ease some of the tensions that have been building, Semtex dropped FOUR tunes off 8 Diagrams during his BBC 1Xtra Radio show last Sunday! Semtex brings a hot mix of hip hop tunes to the UK airwaves and the globe’s internet streams on a weekly basis via BBC Radio 1Xtra. Lucky for us, the show is available until Saturday night/Sunday morning when the new show airs and gets archived. The show also features the brand new Snoop Dog tune (with D-oh-dubble-G singing!) “Sensual Seduction,” plus tracks from Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne, new Jay-Z, Kid Sister ft. Kanye West, Chingy, Skepta, Asher D, Ghetto, Trigger and Kano! ([More →])
Ghostface Killah’s new album The Big Doe Rehab is due to drop in a few weeks (December 4th), and we finally have a tracklisting. Looks like the album features a few takes from Raekwon, Method Man, Masta Killa, Cappadonna and Beanie Sigel… There’s audio too, so jump in! ([More →])
Kotori Mag made a video with RZA of Wu-Tang Clan discussing the making of “The Heart Gently Weeps.” The song features Dhani Harrison, John Frusciante, and Erykah Badu. RZA also mentions that the guitar that Dhani plays is a mint condition Gretsch from 1961 which was given to RZA as a gift from Russell Crowe after he finished filming “American Gangster” the movie that inspired a new Jay-Z album. You can also get the first legal download of the song from LOUD.com ([More →])

I‘m excited about a new Wu-Tang Clan album, and 8 Diagrams sounds like it will woo new fans as well as old. The album won’t drop until Fall, but thanks to the internet, it’s never too early to start getting the inside scoop. Previously, all we really knew was that all original members are participating, including recordings of Ol’ DB himself! ([More →])
Icewater have just released the brand new video for “Animal” off their upcoming debut album Polluted Water. The song features the young bloods’ revered hip hop mentors: the honorable Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, both teachers from the Wu-Tang School. The School has been relatively quiet since their last Shaolin Showdown under the Iron Flag. The elders have been honing their hip hop skills and teaching them to new brothers who have joined the school in hopes that some day, their kung fu on the mic will be strong and unbeatable. Raekwon feels honored to present Icewater, a group of students who have impressed the Wu-Tang masters and are ready to present their style to the public. The emergence of Icewater from the hidden studios of Staten Island signals a revival of Shaolin Island hip hop. Donnie Cash pays homage to the Wu-Tang School when he says, “Anything coming off of the Island is gonna have that “W” on it. That’s where you get the Wu-Tang. We’re also the youth, the streets, the hood. Just like Dipset is in Harlem, we’ve got the movement of the island behind us.” ([More →])
Wu-Tang Clan is back in action with the upcoming release of their 8 Diagrams album, their appearance at Rock The Bells in Hawaii and their collaboration with LOUD.com to offer you classic tracks to test your MC skills. But while RZA has been active with side projects, like the Afro-Samurai Soundtrack, fellow band mate Raekwon has been keepin cool with Ice Water. ([More →])
Hey you with the MC aspirations or crooning skills - how would you like to sing or chat over one of RZA’s classic beats and open for Wu-Tang at Rock the Bells? Well it seems that Wu-Tang have gotten down with LOUD.com - which is all about finding underground talent and putting it in the spotlight. LOUD.com is always running some kind of talent contest, and this time they’ve made a pact with the Clan.
You get 3 RZA riddims to choose from, you record your vocals and submit your track to be reviewed by the LOUD staff. They pick the top 10 to submit to RZA who hand picks the winner himself! ([More →])
