Reggae Carifest will outdo itself and all other reggae music festivals this year, when it brings the DON GORGON back to the stage!! Yes, the one and only NINJAMAN will perform live this summer in NYC, his first US appearance in 15 years! Reggae Country reported these words - straight from the “mouth full of gun,” describing his return to the spotlight:
“Know seh all the war in the business have to come to an end,” states Ninja Man. “If you see Ninja Man, now you see him in all white. That is all I wear for I want to be a beacon, a light for the world to see. We need to bring back love and Reggae Carifest has always been a show that is about the love of the business and I figure if mi and them could work a way to have Ninja Man on stage for Carifest, then my journey would begin to reach the world.”

The Reggae Carifest takes place on August 25th at Randall’s Island, NYC, NY. Now, supposedly Mavado is also on this lineup, but at this point, I just don’t want to discuss him. Not only is he in legal trouble following last weekend’s brawl in Barbados, but he is booked for this very same weekend on the Curefest lineup in Jamaica. UPDATE:
Since posting this announcement, Ninjaman has agreed to play a show in Miami on July 29th. So, that will be his first performance on US soil in 15 years, not Carifest anymore. But it’s still fantastic that he is playing in the US again! I only hope he heads west to sunny Cali!
