Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony all pay tribute to some of hip hop’s most controversial artists on a new collection. 2008 marks the 20 year anniversary of N.W.A.’s classic album Straight Outta Compton! There will be an expanded edition released on CD, vinyl and digital formats that includes all the original tracks plus four new covers. The collection also includes 16 tracks of Eazy-E collabs and solos!
Straight Outta Compton Turns 20, Return of Eazy-E

The new songs that will be included with the reissue are “F*ck Tha Police” by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, “Gangsta Gangsta” by Snoop Dogg and C-Murder, “Dopeman” by Mack 10 and “If It Ain’t Ruff” by WC plus a live version of “Compton’s N The House” by Dr. Dre and MC Ren. This is pretty cool news just on its own, but once I thought about owning these songs on vinyl and playing them out in the club, like the old days, I started to feel pretty excited about this!
A collection of “late member Eazy-E collaborations and solo tracks” will be also be released on Capitol on December 4th. The album is titled Featuring … Eazy-E and it will feature 16 tracks including four that have been out of print for a long time. According to Billboard:
Among them are “Luv 4 Dem Gangsta’z” from the “Beverly Hills Cop III” soundtrack and two songs featuring Penthouse Player’s Clique, DJ Quik and AMG.
The collection is rounded out by two songs from the “Ruthless Records Tenth Anniversary” album plus tracks with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and Ron-De-Vu.
