The West Coast US is positively spoiled for epic underground metal music. Especially in the last 6 years, when we’ve had regular access to incredible performances by Sunn O))), Earth, Ludicra, Wolves In The Throneroom, and many of Mike Patton’s incarnations. My apologies to metal fans of afar who are teased by our repeated thrashings and harmonic tremors. Behind this veil of an intro, lies news of a metal extravanganza for all ages. It begins with warnings for the weak of heart residing on the west coast which is about to be invaded by Ludicra, Wolves In The Throne Room, Wormwood, Middian, Orb of Confusion and more. For those of the Pacific coastal region, I have news - or a warning, depending on your perspective of things - Ludicra is on the tour path again. The long-time SF natives will be meeting up with various allies along the coast for sonic mayhem and the musical rapture of young and old alike. Sparks will fly as if from Thor’s mighty hammer on the anvil when Ludicra hits the stage after Wolves in the Throneroom and Wormwood! Audiences will be mesmerized by the Orb of Confusion until they are strong enough to endure Ludicra’s spell. Best of all, the Berbati’s Pan and Manium shows are all-ages events! So either bring -or lock-up- your children… Beware if you are near any of these towns:

Earth, Sunn O))), Boris Orbit UK In December

Fear not metal fans in the UK! I have great news for you too - this December you can restore your ears and memory with live performances from Sunn O))), Earth and Boris in the UK. The drone metal pioneers bring their doom-metal-country sound alongside epic ritual earth metal specialists. Sunn O))) and Boris will be performing ALTAR live, a special treat which I believe has not yet been done anywhere. Also note, that this special show takes place the day after ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas event where Sunn O))) and Earth will also perform. That is a 3 day long event curated by Portishead.
