I‘m excited about a new Wu-Tang Clan album, and 8 Diagrams sounds like it will woo new fans as well as old. The album won’t drop until Fall, but thanks to the internet, it’s never too early to start getting the inside scoop. Previously, all we really knew was that all original members are participating, including recordings of Ol’ DB himself!

Well, today we find out that one track on the forthcoming album will be “Gently Weeps” which features a sample from The Beatles song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” plus a guest appearance from Dhani Harrison on acoustic guitar! Dhani is George Harrison’s 29 year old son, and allegedly the biggest Wu-Tang fan ever. In a yet-to-be-published interview with Rolling Stone magazine, RZA also revealed that Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante will play lead guitar on “Gently Weeps.” The song discusses the destructive power of heroine and puts Method Man in the role of a smack addict with Ghostface Killah as his dope dealer. Dang, mane. I’m nuh sure I’d wanna see Method Man doped up. Thas enough to make yuh think twice….
Thanks to HHNLive for the inside scoop…
8 Diagrams is set to drop bombs on November 13th - the third anniversary of Old Dirty Bastard’s death.
